A list of refreshing and inexpensive white wines

I’m sharing a handful of wines I’ve been drinking and enjoying lately. They are refreshing, inexpensive, and easy to drink.

5 white wines for you to enjoy

We have almost RUN OUT of our homemade bottled wine. I feel like I’m rationing it now, which is just not good for anyone. I said to Matt earlier, “I should be able to have at least one glass of wine every single night and not have to worry about running out!” Oh the first world problems. But I know you feel me, right? I try to strike a balance between the homemade bottles and professionally made wine, so I have the resources for a steady supply.

I usually have a glass of wine on a few evenings during the week and of course indulge a little more over the weekend. Lately, I’ve been delving into other drinks to shake things up. Like most things now, it doesn’t matter what day of the week it is. I’ve been breaking out the gin, the tequila, the vodka (all three? Jk.) to make fun cocktails.

As fun as that it, I still just love a glass of wine in the evening (only at lunch on the weekends, ok?).

An easy-drinking white wine

If you are looking for an easy-drinking white wine, Pinot Grigio is your go-to. Three out of five on my list are Pinot Grigios, plus two sparkling wines! Here’s the wine I’ve been trying out.

My white wine list

1. Alluria Organic Pinot Grigio ($13.99) Sweet, light, easy to drink Italian white wine.

2. Oggi Moscato Frizzante ($15.99) Full disclosure, I bought this wine for a friend based purely off the label - it’s her colour! Of course I had to try it before I could gift it. So good! Sweet, bubbly, and fun. The bottle is so pretty I want to save it as a vase or candleholder.

3. Oggi Pinot Grigio ($14.99) Because I tried the Oggi Moscato and enjoyed it, I tried the Pinot Grigio. It’s crisp, dry, and fruity. Enjoyable!

4. Sartori Pinot Grigio ($12.99) Refreshing and crisp, a pretty standard Pino Grigio.

5. Nova 7 ($24.99) Nova 7 is my one true sparkling love. Those who know me know I’ve been a fan of Nova 7 since day one. At a higher price point, this one’s a bit of a splurge, otherwise I’d drink it way more often. With a lower alcohol content, I enjoy it on special occasions at brunch and early afternoons and heck at night too. Of course the fact it’s now available in cans makes it super portable for the beach, backyard, and camping!

These refreshing and inexpensive white wines are delicious. Now this post is making me feel like getting back to local roots. I’ll work on rounding up a list of Nova Scotian wines to share. I’m sure it won’t be hard to do!

Where to shop these white wines

Matt popped into the NSLC in Bayers Lake one day after a Costco run when he noticed it was empty. Otherwise, I’ve been ordering wine for delivery from Harvest Wine and Spirits, straight to our door!
